Globally recognised wallpaper company Hovia donated fairytale forest murals and limited edition books to local Merseyside primary school for children and staff to enjoy.
The mural design, featuring the whimsical character Oggy the Fuzzlehog, was created to bring the magic of stories to life, while simultaneously encouraging children to take an interest and appreciation of the nature around them.
Ahead of World Book Day, on Thursday 7th March, Hovia designer and author of the story, Alicia Everett, visited the children of the school to read the Fuzzlehogs of Hogwood tale and explain how they could draw their own Fuzzlehogs.
Everett says, “Our Hovia customers love woodland settings; our Forest category is consistently a top performer; and these wild backdrops bring the outside in to create a truly immersive interior. These friendly beasts encourage exploration while gently promoting conservation.”
Cherrie Edger, member of senior leadership team at the school says “Everyone loves the walls… They give our reading spaces personality and interest. We have lots of little hands checking to see if it’s actually paper!”
Customers who purchase the mural receive a PDF download to read about the Fuzzlehogs of Hogwood - a unique proposition in the wallpaper industry. There are also some limited edition printed copies of the book available for orders of the Fuzzlehog mural placed in March.
Hovia is running a competition to win a Fuzzlehog mural and printed copy of the book. Enter here. Competition closes 15/03/2024.
