8 of this year's Eurovision performances explained, and paired up with a matching wallpaper.
Liverpool-based interior decor brand Hovia chooses a wall mural or wallpaper pattern to fit the personality, style and meaning behind 8 countries' entries to The Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
Answering the question: If these songs were wallpaper, what would they look like..?

1 — Armenia
Armenia's act this year is Brunette, with the song 'Future Lover'.
The Kiss is a wall mural version of Gustav Klimt's iconic painting. This design perfectly represents the song's meaning and lyrics:
'I just wanna make some art, read books and just find someone who likes me enough to kiss my face'.
The wallpaper's warm golden tones are similar to the ones illuminating Brunette in her music video, too.

2 — Iceland
Diljá performs 'Power' for Iceland, featuring a flower-power theme.
The Cornelia mural mirrors the powerful dark and vibrant colours of Diljá's set. It even looks very similar to her backdrop.
The flowers are symbolic of the song's meaning. 'Power' is about being released from the control of someone else; taking back the power and finding inner love:
'I thought you were a living part of me, but I've got the power in my hand. You hold no power over me. I'll take my flowers while I can, so let the love shower over me.'

3 — Malta
Malta's entry is titled 'Dance (Our Own Party)', and performed by The Busker.
It's a fun and upbeat song about having a dance around at home, away from party crowds and social pressures:
'I feel better in my sweater. I got my stereo, I'll play you songs you know.'

If Malta's song were a wallpaper, it would be Boogie — a pattern of people dancing with a cheerful mix of bright colours. This wallpaper brings the party home.
4 — Lithuania
Monika Linkytė represents the country with a rousing ballad, 'Stay.'
This song is about overcoming fear and hurt with the right person staying by your side. The phrase 'My heart is beating' (Čiūto tūto) is repeated as Monika describes the feeling of hope and courage coming back into her life.
The Temperate wall mural is a perfect fit for the song's warm and passionate mood, as well as the stage's glowy gradient lighting.

5 — Serbia
Luke Black brings Serbia to Eurovision 2023 with 'Samo Mi Se Spava'.
The Light Blue Grunge mural captures the dark, grungy feel of this intense yet dreamlike song. The lyrics express a desire to escape the harshness of reality:
I just wanna sleep forever, I like it better when I dream. While the world is burning, I just wanna close my eyes.

6 — Spain
Blanca Paloma's 'Eaea' brings ancient Spanish culture to the Eurovision stage.
'Eaea' is a chant sung throughout the song, which includes references to Spanish literature, history and folklore. The song has been interpreted as a lullaby of sorts.
The Olympus mural is this song's wallpaper counterpart, for its intense red and orange tones and dreamy washes of watercolour paints.

7 — San Marino
'Like An Animal' is San Marino's entry this year, performed by Piqued Jacks.
This Fiery tiger wallpaper is an obvious choice to represent this song — featuring a maximalist blue and orange pattern to match the bold lyrics, which are entirely made up of animal metaphors:
'You have snake eyes, and I get, I get butterflies. I can smell you like an animal. Bring the party, Aphrodite, and I'll chase you on the dancefloor.'

8 — Germany
Lord Of The Lost gives Eurovision fans all the alternative coolness they could ask for with 'Blood & Glitter'.
The passionate song by the industrial metal band would be this metal-effect wall mural, Corrode, chosen for its worn and rusted look that's full of personality and 'perfectly imperfect' industrial charm. It mirrors Lord Of The Lost's dark yet inspiring lyrics:
'Whether above or below, we are all from the same blood. Blood and glitter, sweet and bitter, we're so happy we could die. Blood and glitter, saint and sinner, we do fall before we rise.'
