Hovia introduces three big colour trends on the horizon this year. Plus, why they work so well in interiors.
But what about the other colours coming into focus in 2023?
The interior design experts at Hovia know the ins-and-outs of this year's trending tones forecast. A few of them are too compelling and essential to pick just one, so Hovia has elected three shades as its Colours of The Year 2023.
Here are the colours:
Copper Apricot
It's an energising but rich orange tone that creates an unmatched sense of warmth in interiors.
Lauren Kavanagh, Art Director at Hovia
Or, opt for a soft and restorative style by bringing in cooler tones like peach and mint.
Copper Apricot is this year's answer to Apricot Crush, and highlights the importance of cosy and intimate interiors right now.
Digital Lavender
Digital Lavender's a soothing tone, but it also feels incredibly playful and makes a bold statement in interiors. It's become an important colour of the moment, as it builds a bridge between the surreal landscapes of the digital realm and the dreamy sunsets and lavender fields of reality.
Catherine Jacob, Head of Design at Hovia
Digital Lavender is the stand-out colour of 2023 according to WGSN and Coloro. The shade is an embodiment of the year ahead, and Hovia particularly looks forward to seeing how their creative customers will decorate with it on walls.
Warm Blue
Applying Warm Blue to walls with wallpaper, murals or paint will make the most of its refreshing coast and sky-inspired qualities in the home.
Warm Blue pairs well with natural and tactile materials like wood, rattan, sea grass and clay. Neutral sandy tones and off-whites compliment this colour well, too.
